All jewelry lives somewhere between memory and memoir.  I want my jewelry to become a place where the wearer can keep a memory. A piece of jewelry is a physical reminder of something normally intangible. I hope to gift other people the ability to put there own intention and relationships into a piece of jewelry, something they can wear and have with them in their daily lives, to grow and remind them of that intangible link.

Jewelry has been a passion since childhood, I formalized my education at the California college of the arts in Oakland CA with a BFA in jewelry and metal arts. Moving back to my hometown of Seattle Wa, I opened Katie makes Jewelry allowing her to make beautiful hand made and found mementos.
