I watched power rangers for the first time in a long time today, it wasn't my choice you understand, if i had chosen to watch TV i would have picked something a bit more adult (or maybe the disney movies that have just started to appear on netflix!) but i was babysitting to there i was watching power rangers. as a child I saw it on TV but i never really got into it. as a adult (hey i can vote, even if i can't drink...) the child was nice enough to start up at the first episode and i noticed a few things this time around that i had not before, maybe because I was focused on the flashy weird outfits. if you're a power ranger fan please don't bite my head off. *oh it looks like i was watching Power rangers samurai - this is the one I remember from my childhood too so...
One) my god what horrible dialogue. I mean i know its a kids show but can the dialogue be any worse, how did the actors keep a straight face.
Two) thoughts power ranger things that keep the round disks that go on the end of their weapons look like a makeup compacts.
Three) you can really date the show by the cell phone design that they use to power up or whatever - i mean remake the show now and it would be launching an App on there Iphone.
Four) wouldnt you get tired of wearing the same color all the time? i mean the pink power ranger must get sick of Pink, and who made Red the dominant color anyway.
Five) well at least some of the power rangers are girls - even if the pink ones a air head and the yellow one is all airy fairy.
Six) i see why kids like this no need to really think about there are bad guys and the colorful ones are obviously the good ones.
Seven) like always (or mostly) the bad guys are written better and are more interesting.
Eight) the best time to attack the power rangers would be when they are doing all that posing on top of stairs.
Nine) that thing where you kill them and then they show up in a bigger form is really a cheap trick for getting the power rangers to transform AGAIN, into that big robot thing.
Ten) when they are in that robot thing where are they? are they inside? that battle room would not fit, so did they shrink to fit inside?
Eleven) thoughts big weapons would more get in the way then anything else, although when they catch fire thats cool, however having a weapon that is a fan is completely sissy (way to give the pink girl the worst most girly weapon :|)
Twelve) when he summoned all the other people, the Pink(?) power ranger was working at a childcare place - I hope she was able to give her job notice. thirteen) the Blue one is the only one that seems anywhere near normal.
fourteen) All the actors must have been picked for three reasons, Holding a straight face when saying thought horrid lines. Looking really good in there certain color. and how good they look in thoughts silly outfits.
Fifteen) Finally, how much destruction is caused by one of these battles, I mean what's the figure on the property damage? I mean you can't have giant battling monsters without knocking down some building.
